In 1996 New York Seinen Association announced that they cannot hold annual Japanese Festival in East Village. The festival has grown so big and needed larger space. They were looking for organizations who can take over sponsorship. In 1997, the festival was held again with supports from many Japanese organization and especially Japan Society at 47th street on First Avenue

Last November a Japanese father was killed by his son who was a wresling star in high school. Since he lost his American wife 8 years ago their relation has been troublesome and the son had been receiving counseling. But their economic situation had worsened and it was difficult to pay for the counseling. They started arguing again on November 25 of last year which led to a fist fighting and ultimately the death of the father. Now the younger son who is left alone is asked to leave their house by the mortgage bank and his $1,000 saving in a bank is forfeited. And the trial of the elder son has been postponed three times already because his state lawyer was too busy. Please help them and send donation to the followings.
